Step into an enchanting Halloween adventure at High Lodge Farm, where magical woodland trails, pumpkins and outdoor family fun come together for one unforgettable autumn day out.
This Halloween, something mysterious has happened. The Midnight Moon, which glows with magic above High Lodge Farm every Halloween night, is beginning to fade. The forest creatures have hidden the secret word that will restore its glow... and they need your help to find it.
Follow our magical woodland trail as you search for hidden letters, solve the mystery and bring the Midnight Moon back to life. Along the way you'll discover ghostly displays, mischievous skeletons and magical surprises around every corner.
Keep your eyes peeled for the creatures of the Midnight Moon, including Shadow the Cat, Willow the Wise Owl and Croak the Toad, alongside some familiar High Lodge favourites, from the Monks of Abingdon and the Headless Man to the Pumpkin King and the Wicked Witches of High Lodge, lurking amongst the trees.
Once you've completed the trail, the Halloween fun continues in our giant Play Patch, where children can climb straw bales, enjoy garden games & challenges, toast marshmallows over the fire, tuck into hot chocolates and toffee apples, get messy in the mud play area and climb aboard our barrel train for a spooky ghost ride. This year, we’ve got a pumpkin painting station for those feeling crafty.
Before you leave, don't forget to choose the perfect pumpkin from our giant pumpkin patch to take home and carve.

Climb Aboard the Ghost Train
All aboard for a spooky farm adventure! Hop onto our Halloween Ghost Train as it trundles around the farm, passing pumpkins, woodland and autumn scenery with plenty of smiles along the way. Keep your eyes peeled for spooky surprises and familiar High Lodge characters hiding along the route, as you bounce and bump your way through the countryside.

Toast Marshmallows by the Fire
There's nothing quite like gathering around a crackling fire on a crisp autumn day. Pick up a giant marshmallow and a toasting skewer from the Toot for just £1, then find a fire pit and toast your mallow to golden, gooey perfection. It's the perfect way to warm up after your Halloween adventure and create a cosy family memory together.

Tasty Halloween Treats
After all that pumpkin picking and magical exploring, stop off for something delicious to eat and drink. The Tasty Toot will be serving Oxfordshire-roasted barista coffee, creamy hot chocolates, locally baked cakes and brownies, alongside burgers, hot dogs, chips and breakfast rolls. Don't forget to visit the Sweet Toot too, where you'll find marshmallows for toasting and plenty of other tasty Halloween treats.
Twilight Halloween Sessions
On selected dates this Halloween, High Lodge Farm will stay open until approximately 8pm, giving families the chance to experience the Midnight Moon Mystery as dusk falls. Wander our magical woodland trail in the fading light, pick your perfect pumpkin by torchlight and soak up the extra Halloween atmosphere as the farm comes alive after dark with our after-dark trail. With delicious food, hot drinks and beer available as the autumn sun sets, it's the perfect early evening out for young families.

Our Halloween event will run on the following dates.

Gates open between 10am and 4.30pm with the last entry at 2.30pm. During half-term week we’ll be open until 8pm on selected days.
SEND sessions will run 9am - 10am for SEND children and their families only.

Yes, we’re running SEND sessions from 9am - 10am on selected days (visitors are welcome to stay as long as they like after 10am). Please see our ticket booking page and book the SEND specific sessions. Carers are free.

Yes, but we charge a bit extra for gate tickets purchased on the day.
It’s cheaper to buy them online in advance.

You can stay all day or until your children are completely worn out - but please leave by 4.30pm.

Don't worry if you're a bit early or late for your slot, the sessions are to manage the flow of people on site and cars in the carpark. You’re welcome to stay all day.

Yes, we have a parent and weather-friendly flexible booking system!
If you create an account when booking, you can log-in and move your tickets to another date, free of charge and subject to availability, as many times as you like.
Alternatively, email hello@highlodgefarm.com at least 24 hours before your booking and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Please note, no refunds will be given unless we have to cancel the event for safety reasons.

High Lodge Farm is based at Culham, near Abingdon - not the farm of the same name in Chipping Norton!
The postcode is OX14 3BN. The entrance is on the A415 Abingdon Road. Drive through the metal gates and park in the grass field.

There’s plenty of free parking in our grass field just off the A415 Abingdon Road. If it’s been raining, please take care entering and exiting the site and expect some mud.

Yes, we take both everywhere on site.

Yes, but please be warned are toilets are basic and temporary. We have no plumbed in facilities (because we’re not allowed to). We have hand-washing and one accessible temporary toilet with a baby changing facility.

The Toot sells proper coffee, tea, hot chocolate, brownies and flapjacks, ice creams and other soft drinks. The Tasty Toot sells hot dogs, burgers, breakfast rolls and kids meal deals. The Sweet Toot sells hot brownies, toffee apples, crepes and other goodies.

t depends on how much rain we’ve had. Most of the time an all-terrain buggy (not a stroller) will be able to navigate the field and woodland. We recommend a baby/toddler carrier when it’s wet.
There are no solid paths, so wheelchairs will struggle in and around the woodland. We have accessible parking near the entrance. Please speak to our staff if you require assistance.

If there’s been a lot of rain, we recommend wellies because it’s likely to be very muddy. We are not liable for any injuries.

Pumpkins range in price from £1 to £10 plus depending on type and size. Pay for what you pick.

Regular carving pumpkins of various sizes, munchkins and a mixture of different squash - festivals, red onions, acorns, goosebumps, harlequins, crown prince, casperitas and giant polar bears, subject to availability.

We grow some of our pumpkins at High Lodge every year. But due to the huge numbers we need to host this event, we source the rest from our favourite suppliers. This ensures that visitors enjoy a complete experience and a range of varieties.

Absolutely not, this is a family friendly farm and we’re not planning on scaring anyone. There’s no actors in the woods. We hope youngsters will love our woodland attractions.

No. They will be scattered already cut around the field, so no knives are needed.

Yes, toast a giant marshmallow on our fire-pits for £1.

The barrel train is not included in your ticket price. It’s £3 per person. Anyone over the age of three can ride (including adults). Pay the driver by cash or card on the day.
